Print.

i have decided to collect lovely printed fabrics so look out for me if you see any nice ones, yeah?

Swiss Cottage Antiques.

I stumbled across this run down antiques shop on the outskirts of Leeds. The place is piled high with alsorts of nic nacs and old furniture.in fact they have pretty much everything you could imagine. They provided props for period films and T.V programmes such as The Royal and Heartbeat but since they have stopped running, buininess has got slow and they concentrate more on sales and hiring to production companies like Leeds Playhouse. I have strted to collect china, i want a miss match collection and so i got some from there for a very very reasonable price!

Here is what it looks like inside...i did say it was piled high!

Design & Innovation

some images taken throughout my last project...

some lino prints using my own designs..

Asquith Nursery.

Love these photographs taken at Asquith Nursery for the start of my current project which was called Design and Innovtion. i chose to base mine on romantic florals...

The day i made some cushions and a Blind.

I decided to get creative and make a set of cushions and maching blind for my room, it went really well, although the sewing machine enjoyed chewing up my fabric many a time.I bought the materials from local fabric shop for just £20 the floral print was actually really cheap which was a nice surprise, as i usually pick the most expensive ones! here is some photos of the end result...

Jumble sale!

After an evenful summer break september aproached us and i was trying to think of thrifty ways to make some money. Coming back from travelling gave me the incentive to have a clear out and i gathered up some girls and we did a car boot sale. It was good weather and great fun!

Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

One of my summer adventures included a jaunt round Yorshire Sculpture park with my Stu. It was a beautiful day, the sun was right in our faces and the cafe was just the best! really good ice cream as well (Mr Moo's). i was particularly struck by the greenhouse, with plants almost over taking the walls inside. all round a lovely little place with some nice features such as the arched windows and an intriguing white door...

What a picture.

Thailand.

During my trip travelling around thailand i visited a lovely little workshop, where they sold beautiful carved pieces of furniture and ornamentation. it was all very decorative and intricate. absoloutly amazing skills!

winter is upon us! where have i been!?

Due to a hectic summer (and much procrastination) i have completely disowned my blog! so heres a catch up of some of the work, cool things ive been up to since my last post...
